I personally like this it gives the illusion that you are there and looking at it yourself. The DOF is perfect just the way your eyes would see it with the front reeds being just out of focus. Plus, it gives it a more natural feel unlike the "studio" look of insects. So needless to say I personally am not wishy washy on this I love it
It's a praying mantis! It's a sign! I rescued a praying mantis yesterday... I was walking back from a concert and there was a praying mantis upside down on the ground, waving its legs feebly... I felt bad for it and picked it up carefully and put it on the ground by a tree... and it looked like it felt better...maybe this is a sign my praying mantis is happy now! Yay!
I sort of both dislike and like that there's things in front of the mantis. Dislike, because it makes it a bit cluttered as a photo, but like, because it gives a context to the mantis and the way it looks.
